A Sydney Proposal With A Stunning View

By on June 14, 2016

So it wasn’t until August 2015, after five years of singleness that I started dating this truly amazing guy.

He is one of the most amazing guys I have ever laid eyes on. He is creative, loving, caring, very supportive and most importantly he loves to travel.

I had always said to friends and family that I would hit the jackpot if I could find someone who could firstly, put up with my 50,000 words a day (yes, I can admit I do like to talk a lot!) and loved to travel the world as much as I did; as it turns out, he had both of those things that I was looking for.

After a few months of dating, it wasn’t long before I realized that this guy was the one that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with…

and as of 11th January 2016, my dream came true..

He proposed in the way any guy should; beautiful speech, get down on one knee and ask that all-important question, anticipating that one simple answer of YES. What’s more is he proposed with a view of the city we both love to pieces (Sydney), and he managed to find a view of the city that I had never seen or explored before.

He proposed at Bradley’s Head in Mosman and although he had actually planned to take me to the Bradley’s Head ampitheatre (which was crazy busy and had loads of fisherman at the pier) he still found an alternative for this most romantic and heartfelt proposal, away from the crowds to be in a moment that was just him and I.

We walked a little along the boardwalk at Bradley’s head and there was the perfect spot; simple, yet with the most beautiful scenery and with no one else around.

It was there that the love of my life said,

“I want to build a life with you, I want to soar the skies with you, Bec will you marry me?”

and that’s the moment when I said YES to the rest of my life, with the one truly amazing man that I love with all of my heart.

I am excited to share with you on the blog today some photos from the proposal day; which we took ourselves with our trusty tripod and the Canon app on my iPhone as a wireless remote. This day was one of the most beautifully romantic moments of my life. Enjoy!

Never did I ever think I would be lucky enough to meet someone who loves me so unconditionally. I literally cannot fathom how much he actually loves me, because each and every day that I get to spend with him, I am continually reassured that I am loved, valued and the most important person in his life. Never did I also think I would find someone who was as obsessed about travelling the world as much as I am, I feel very blessed to have found him.

IMG_2156Jonathan, I love you and I’m so excited to journey through life with you by my side as my husband.

Stay tuned for a big announcement of the location of our honeymoon, and for our upcoming Round The World (RTW) trip itinerary for December-January 2016-17!

P.S We are getting married on Sunday 28th August 2016 here in Sydney!

Congratulations! And such a beautiful spot. Did he hire a photographer to take those photos of the moment?

Thanks so much! Actually we took our photos together on a tripod with my camera and my wireless remote (the Canon app on my phone). I was kinda aware it might be happening on that day in particular and plus, I always have my camera with me when we go on an adventure together 🙂 It was fun to take photos of our special moment 🙂

This is so cute! Congrats and what a fabulous location for your proposal! I was lucky enough to be proposed to in St Petersburg, Russia, while we were standing on a pedestrian bridge over one of the canals 🙂

Can’t wait to find out more about your honeymoon and RTW trip!

Thanks 😛 Very excited to be planning a wedding! Only 2 months to go! That sounds very romantic 🙂 St Petersburg will be one of the locations on our RTW trip, so I will be looking through your blog to find helpful tips and advice 🙂 We are also planning to do Moscow too. I’ll hopefully be able to tell a little more soon when I get some time to write! 🙂
